The DeLonghi DE400 40-Pint Dehumidifier - for a dehumidifier, this unit is relatively quiet. Coming with a fan as well as compressor (which is essential for getting rid of the water in the air), it will definitely make some noise...BUT not to the point that it's disturbing.
The temperature of the room is also displayed in the control panel window. You can easily set the humidity level that you want to achieve and the unit will run until the percentage of humidity that you set is achieved.
This dehumidifier also comes with 3 different fan settings and an auto defrost function. When the temperature cools, dehumidifiers tend to freeze up...and the auto defrost function is an excellent way to fix this.

The caster wheels built in the machine also roll on a carpet and on a smooth floor very easily. The turbo switch: when you press this one, you let the dehumidifier to run all of the time and keep on getting rid of moisture without regard to the humidity manual you set manually.
Bottom line: the DeLonghi DE400 40-Pint Dehumidifier is a must have. I recommend this dehumidifier for home without any reservations...none whatsoever.
